APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Applications must be forwarded on-line through the KSU web-site. Directions for on-line applications:

In addition to KSU general requirements (min. GPA = 2.75), admission to the programs are administered through the Graduate Studies Committee and it is based on:
2. Statement of purpose;
3. Curriculum vitae;
4. Original Transcripts from colleges previously attended;
5. Undergraduate GPA;
6. GRE scores;
7. Letters of reference;
8. Portfolio of design work.
Statement of Purpose:
One page max, indicating which option is the application for (e.g. MArch in Kent, MArch at the CUDC, MArch&MBA dual degree in Kent, MArch&MUD dual degree at the CUDC) along with the applicant's educational and career goals, including research and/or concentration interests.
Graduate Record Examinations:
For information on the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations), please check: [www.gre.org]. Scores above 460 (verbal), 620 (quantitative) and 4.25 (analytical) will give the applicants good chances of admission.
Letters of Recommendation:
Submit letters of recommendation completed by persons who are familiar with your educational goals and your ability to achieve them (at least 3, one of which from a non-academic source, preferably professional); The format may be a letter and/or the Recommendation Form. Those individuals should comment on your professional and/or academic ability.

ASSISTANTSHIPS:
Those applying for Graduate or Teaching Assistantship, must complete a form, which is downloadable at:

DEADLINES:
The Graduate Studies Committee begins reviewing applicants as early as February 1st. Applications will be accepted up until July 1st.
Applications for a Spring enrollment must be submitted by November 1st.

PORTFOLIO
Portfolio submitted for application to a graduate program in the College of Architecture & Environmental Design should be composed along the following guidelines:
- Format: one volume, print-out & bound (no electronic submission), landscape or portrait.
- Size: 81/2” x 11” x 1” thick max (folded sheets may be used)
- Design work should be presented in reversed chronological order, starting with the last project, and should comprise the most significant design projects in the applicant’s career.
- School work and professional work should be presented in two clearly distinct and separate sections.
- Projects should be clearly described with basic information (e.g. date, studio level, tutor, etc) and very concise commentaries (objectives, concept, etc).
- Team work and role of applicant in team-projects must be clearly indicated.
- Design work, other than architectural or urban design (such as interior design or product design), as well as other kinds of creative work (such as free-hand drawing or photography), should be presented in a clearly distinct and separate section at the end of the booklet.
