Matthew Hutchinson '00:
September 2008: Matt Hutchinson of San Francisco received second prize for his entry in the "Round Building Reuse: 360" competition for Orlando, Florida. The competition aimed to have competitors develop a innovative reuse of the Round Building's precast concrete brise-soleil on another site or sites. Matt's entry was developed using Rhino's Grasshopper.

Robert Maschke '89:
October 2008: Robert Maschke received an Honor Award for Excellence in Architectural Design at the 2008 AIA Ohio Convention for his latest project, Media Arts -– a black box film studio and teaching green room for Cuyahoga Community College’s Metropolitan Campus. Lawrence R. Armstrong '80:
June 2008: Lawrence Armstrong is awarded Ernst & Young Entreprener of the Year. Mr. Armstrong is CEO of Ware Malcomb, a leading national design firm, providing planning, architectural, interior design, graphic design and site development services for commercial real estate and corporate clients throughout North America. Established in 1972, the firm has over 245 employees in 11 offices.

Joshua Lloyd '02:
June 2008: Joshua Lloyd is one of six to receive 2008 Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship. In 2006, Rebecca Brunt '01 was the first recipient of this scholarship when it was established.
