Twenty miles north of Levoc'a, the small town of Stara L'ubovn'a is the vertex of the triangle around the Levoc'a Hill. It is the starting point of the ancient trade route north into Poland and is famous as the seat of the Polish governor who managed the Spis' towns that were "pawned" to the Polish king for 300 years. The castle on the hill above the city is being restored.
